Welcome to PlayDay Nursery
We here at PlayDay nursery have a reputation of providing a warm, caring and secure environment for all our children. We provide our families a unique individual approach, by having mature experienced staff with a high level of childcare qualifications. The staff have a background of Early Years and Foundation stage in school. Together all the staff here at PlayDay like to make the setting a family atmosphere.

We cater for children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years old. We have two rooms one is Cubs which is aged 3 months to two years and Bears 2 years to 5 years old.
Child Development
We do in the moment planning, which lets the children lead and learn through their own play. Every child has their own personal learning journal, which helps us track their development and make sure they are meeting the ‘Every Child Matters’ outcome. We enable the children with resources and materials so they can learn and meet all 7 areas of the EYFS. We track their development, so we can pick up the areas the children may not be doing themselves and introduce it through their play. Every key child will have a focus week once a term, where we ask for the parents input on their child’s development at home too. Our keyworker system works to ensure that every child and their families are treated as an individual and helps with building strong relationships during their time with us. We do around two small structured activities with our Pre-schoolers (3- 5-year olds) a day, which includes phonics and number time. Which in turn enables them to access the Foundation curriculum and aids them with their transition to school.
